Allison Merrill

Our Provo Up With Kids director is Allison Merrill. Allison first participated in Up With Kids when she was only four years old. That first play was “Mary Poppins”. She played the part of “Block A” – one of the nursery toys. She remembers being very shy and when Miss Shauna asked if someone would like to sing a solo at the microphone; she timidly raised her hand. From that first solo to this day, she has loved the thrill of performing on stage. She has performed in many musical theater productions including Les Miserables.

Biography

Allison is an accomplished pianist and also enjoys playing the violin. She loves dancing and singing and has taken professional vocal lessons. She has been a member of the acclaimed BYU Women’s Chorus for two years.

Allison is completing her final year at BYU majoring in Child Development. She has taught in several preschools and volunteered in several elementary school classes.

Allison enthusiastically comes to us this year as a director. She is anxious to share all of the wonderful lessons and fun she has experienced herself in Up With Kids. She loves seeing kids learn, achieve, and feel good about themselves. She would love to play a part in helping your children be their best!
