Janet Hellekson

Magna Director Janet Hellekson first became involved with Up With Kids! two years ago while looking for a program for her two daughters that would be fun and build self confidence and self esteem.

Biography

Janet grew up figure skating competitively as well as in shows. The highlights of her skating career were winning the bronze medal at the Jr. Olympics and being chosen as a soloist in Broadway on Ice and Pops on Ice with music by the Utah Symphony.

Janet earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah in Family and Consumer Studies/Child Development. She worked for many years as Director at The Little Gym until she became a mother to her fantastic girls. She now works at their school and coaches her older daughter’s soccer team. Janet believes that a positive outlook, self confidence and LOTS of fun should be a part of everyday life!

Up With Kids! has been a wonderful, positive part of her daughters’ lives and Janet looks forward to sharing this awesome program with her AMAZING students at our new Magna location!
