Biography

As an American Fork native, Heather grew up singing, dancing, playing the clarinet in a very musically centered community. In High School, she was the drum major for the nationally renowned AFHS Marching Band, the student conductor for the A Capella Choir, and loved every minute of it! After receiving her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education, Heather has been the band director for Riverton High School, and the Fine Arts director for American Leadership Academy in Spanish Fork. She is currently excited to be working as the Assistant Director of Bands at American Fork High School, her old Alma Mater.

Heather has been a HUGE fan of Up With Kids! for several years now and is so excited to finally become involved as a teacher. Up With Kids! commitment to the self-esteem, positive energy, music, and laughter of children intrigued Heather from the very beginning. She knew that she wanted to become part of a team that cares so much about kids and their musical experiences. This will be Heather's first year with us, and she knows it will be magical!
